It’s been a busy transition from summer to fall for #TeamMLE, with our riders making their mark across the country!

This past weekend, our #MLEhunters and #MLEjumpers took center stage at the Maryland Horse & Pony Show. Brett Shear-Heyman of Penny Leigh LLC impressed with great rides with four different horses, highlighted by a 5th place finish in the $1,000 3’3″ Green Hunter Incentive aboard Sophia Deegan’s SF Barcaggio. Ashley Worthington of Rolling Acres Show Stables had a jam-packed schedule with ten horses and countless courses, earning the title of Leading Jumper Rider. Mary Lisa Leffler also of Rolling Acres Show Stables took home the title of Leading Jumper Trainer, while Rolling Acres’ barn manager, Addie Jabin, had a fantastic weekend as well, placing 2nd in the Junior/Amateur Jumper 1.10m Table II.2.b with her own Newmarket Touchstone.

Our #MLEeventers were equally busy, competing far and wide. At The Fork at Tryon in North Carolina, Kim Severson Eventing won the Open Preliminary with Anita Antenucci’s Arden Juju. In Virginia, at the Hunt Club Starter Trial, our newest #MLEintern, Nicola Villarino, made a great debut with a 4th place finish in Beginner Novice aboard Shannon and Caitlin O’Roark’s What The Devil. Meanwhile, at Marlborough Horse Trials in Maryland, Martin Douzant of The Frame Sport Horses piloted Frame Nantucket S to victory in Open Novice.

To top off the weekend, The Frame Sport Horses celebrated a special win at the Bred To Event Championships in Maryland, where Frame Brulee (Frame Nantucket S x Birdsong) was named Yearling Champion.

From hunter rings to cross-country courses, it’s been an incredible way to kick off the fall season. Congratulations to all of #TeamMLE on a fantastic couple of weeks!
