It’s been a whirlwind few weeks for #TeamMLE—and we’re finally taking a moment to celebrate all the incredible things our riders have accomplished!
In early October, Dani Sussman and Aspire Eventing took home the win in the CCI2*-S at Morven Park International Horse Trials with WaterValley Royal Guy, owned by Staci Hougland and Dani. Meanwhile, Jaclyn Burke of Hablyn Hills Equestrian Center won the Preliminary Combined Test on her own Adara at the MDHT Highland Starter Trial and placed 5th in Beginner Novice with her homebred HH Like No Otter. Martin Douzant of The Frame Sport Horses also had a great weekend, finishing 3rd in the same division with sale horse Magnific Coco Chanel. And our very own #MLEintern Nicola impressed with a 2nd place finish in Junior Novice aboard Caitlin and Shannon O’Roark’s What The Devil!
The following weekend, it was time for our #MLEhunters and #MLEjumpers to shine at the prestigious Pennsylvania National Horse Show. Ashley Worthington and Mary Lisa Leffler of Rolling Acres Show Stable delivered outstanding performances—Ashley placed 5th with her own Diadora in the $20,000 1.30m Welcome Table II, while Mary Lisa brought home a 3rd in the same class with Zaza Z. Brett Shear-Heyman of Penny Leigh LLC also had a standout ride, finishing in the top ten of the $10,000 Green Hunter 3’3” Stake Class with Fan Favorite, owned by Katie Chan.
And just this past weekend, several #MLEeventers wrapped up the season at one of our favorite events—the Waredaca Classic Three-Day Event and Horse Trials! Katie Wherley Equestrian made a triumphant return to the show ring, finishing 3rd in Open Preliminary on her own Grateful Heart. Suze Cornue of Destination Farm also had a great weekend, placing 5th in Open Novice with Cubic Sound.
Congratulations to all of #TeamMLE for an incredible few weeks of competition!
