It has been an incredibly busy couple of weeks for #TeamMLE!

This past weekend, Jaclyn Burke of Hablyn Hills Equestrian piloted her own Adara to a top ten finish in the Open Novice at the Plantation Field Horse Trials in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Martin Douzant of The Frame Sport Horses also had a successful outing at the A Jump Above Derby in The Plains, Virginia, bringing home a 3rd place finish in the Beginner Novice with Andrea Bonny’s Royal Escapade. At St. Christopher’s Premier in Littlestown, Pennsylvania, Brett Shear-Heyman of Penny Leigh LLC continued a strong season with top placings aboard Merlino PL in both the 1.20m and 1.35m Open Jumpers.

The weekend before, Kelley Williams of A Bit Better Farm finished 4th in Open Training with her own Valfreyja at the Waredaca Horse Trials in Laytonsville, Maryland. Suzannah Cornue of Destination Eventing also had a great weekend at Waredaca, finishing 2nd in Open Novice with her own Cubic Sound.

Meanwhile, our #MLEhunters and #MLEjumpers were out in full force at the Lexington Spring Encore in Lexington, Virginia. Brett Shear-Heyman earned top ribbons with Kate Chan’s HRH Miss Molly in the 3’ Green Hunters, as well as strong finishes with Sophie Deegan’s SF Barcaggio in the 3’3” Performance Hunters and Savannah Whyard’s More Power BH in the 1m Training Jumpers. Brett and her own Merlino PL also finished 3rd in the $500 1.30m Open Jumpers.

Ashley Worthington of Rolling Acres Show Stables had an exceptional week, nearly sweeping the 3’6”/3’9” Green Hunters with Independence Ranch LLC’s Honesty, winning three of the four classes and finishing 2nd in the fourth. Ashley also won the USHJA Green Hunter Incentive 3’6”–3’9”, brought home top placings with Amelia Margison’s MTM Mochi and Mila Lieberman’s Iggy Pop in the 3’3” Performance Hunters, and finished 2nd in the $5,000 1.35m Open Jumper Welcome Stakes with her own Diadora.

Mary Lisa Leffler, also of Rolling Acres Show Stables, earned top ribbons with Copper Fox LLC’s Velveteen in the 3’ Green Hunters and Heather Bamford’s When in Rome in the 2’9” Lexington Hunters. She also won the $5,000 1.35m Open Jumper Welcome Stakes and finished 2nd in the $25,000 Grand Prix with Rolling Acres’ Oopsala. Rounding out the week, Rolling Acres barn manager Addie Jabin rode her own Newmarket Touchstone to wins in both the $250 1.10m Amateur Jumper and the 1.10m Amateur Jumper Classic.
