It was a busy, busy weekend for #TeamMLE with riders spread across multiple states.
At the Carolina International CCI & Horse Trials in North Carolina, Kim Severson of Severson Eventing finished 3rd in the Open Preliminary with her own Cooley Consort. And #MLEintern Megan put in a solid ride over a big track with her own Altaskin Jack in the CCI3*-S.
At the MDHT Highland Horse Trials in Maryland, Kelley Williams of A Bit Better Farm won the Open Novice with her own Valfreyja and finished inside the top ten in Open Beginner Novice with Liliokalani. Felicia Bazano of Rainbow Rooster Farm came in 5th in the Open Starter with Gena Catalano’s Big Bears Tactical Eagle, and 4th on her own Va Voom in Open Training. Martin Douzant of The Frame Sport Horses brought two horses to top ten finishes in Open Beginner Novice—sale horse Magnific Coco Chanel and What About Jack, owned by Tara Bruer.
In Florida at the Horse Trials at Majestic Oaks, #MLEintern Nicola finished in the top ten in Novice Rider with Shannon and Caitlin O’Roark’s What The Devil. Also in Florida at the HITS Ocala Championship, Ashley Worthington of Rolling Acres Show Stables brought home multiple top finishes, including a win in the $100 Green Hunter 3’6″ under saddle with Honestly, owned by Independence Ranch LLC, and a win in the USHJA 2′ Hunter Over Fences with her own Blue Sapphire. Mary Lisa Leffler, also of Rolling Acres, finished 2nd in the $750 1.20m Jumpers with her own Gentleman Jack, 3rd in the $1,500 1.40m Jumpers with Oopsala, and won the $1,000 USHJA Green Hunter Incentive 3′ with Velveteen, owned by Cooper Fox LLC.
And at the Swan Lake Winter Finale National Horse Show in Pennsylvania, The Frame Sport Horses showed up with an impressive nine horses. Martin Douzant finished 2nd with his own Frame Nantucket S in the 1m Jumpers and won the class with Justified, owned by Marsha Spencer and Erin Durst. He also brought home a win in the .90m Jumpers with Uranium BC, owned by Blue Chip Bloodstock. Joe DeSantis finished 2nd in the .70m Jumpers on Unica BC, owned by Blue Chip Bloodstock, 2nd with sale horse Thomashefsky BC, and 2nd in the $100 .90m Jumper Stake with Nyela SR, owned by Kali Barnes.
What a way to go into spring!
