#TeamMLE had a great—albeit soggy—week of showing!

Our #MLEhunters started the week off strong at the Upperville Colt & Horse Show. Brett Shear-Heyman of Penny Leigh LLC brought home top placings in the 3’3” Green Hunters and the USHJA 3’3” Green Hunter Incentive aboard Katie Chan’s Fan Favorite. And out #MLEjumpers Mary Lisa Leffler of Rolling Acres Show Stables picked up a win in the $750 1.30m Jumpers with Gentleman Jack, plus two wins in the $2,000 1.35m Jumpers with Zaza Z. Ashley Worthington, also of Rolling Acres, had a banner week with Mila Lieberman’s Iggy Pop in the 3’6” Green Hunters and took the win in the 1.0m Schooling Jumpers aboard MTM Farm’s MTM Milky Way.

MLE President Margaret took a break from her eventing roots to take her young Cleveland Bay Sporthorse mare Magnific Libertà in the breed classes at Upperville. Libby handled the atmosphere like a seasoned pro and was handled and shown under saddle by Joe DeSantis of The Frame Sport Horses.

Our #MLEeventers were busy too! Jaclyn Burke of Hablyn Hills Equestrian piloted her own Adara to a top ten finish in Open Novice at the MCTA Jenny Camp Horse Trials at Shawan Downs. Though Sunday at Middleburg Horse Trials was cut short by rain, our riders powered through. Martin Douzant of The Frame Sport Horses placed 4th in Open Preliminary with Justified, 6th in Training Horse with homebred Galactic Frame Z, and 3rd in Novice Horse with sale horse First Syzygy QP. Stephen Bradley Eventing earned a 4th place in Open Training with Peter Foley’s Boston, and Kelley Williams of A Bit Better Farm wrapped up with a 6th in Open Training on her own Valfreyja.

Well done to everyone on #TeamMLE—we’re looking forward to sunnier weekends ahead!
