#TeamMLE has been busy, busy, busy two weeks!

Joe DeSantis of The Frame Sport Horses kicked it off for our #MLEjumpers and had a great showing at the VHSA and The League Show 2, piloting Valerie Lee’s Quinn de Revel to top ribbons in the Low Schooling Jumpers. At the Lexington Spring Premiere, at the Virginia Horse Center, Mary Lisa Leffler of Rolling Acres Show Stables had a standout week. She claimed a Championship in the Conformation Hunters aboard Chime, and won the $25,000 Rockbridge Grand Prix Gentleman Jack. Her strong performances continued with a Championship in the 3’3″ Green Hunters riding Koraline, owned by Mila Lieberman, and a Reserve Championship in the Conformation Hunters with Pop Muzic, owned by Fantasy Farm. She also rode Zaza Z to a win in the Welcome and placed fourth in the Grand Prix.

Ashley Worthington, also of Rolling Acres, added to the team’s success with a Championship in the 3’6″/3’9″ Green Hunters on Last Call, a Reserve Championship in the same division on Iggy Pop, owned by Mila Lieberman, and another Championship in the 3’3″ Performance Hunters aboard Top Gallant, owned by Shake the Tree, LLC. At the following weekend’s Lexington Encore, Brett Shear-Heyman of Penny Leigh LLC impressed with eight horses in competition and earned top ribbons across several divisions. She capped off the week with a win in the Open Jumper 1.20m/1.30m II2b aboard her own Merlino PL.

Martin Douzant of The Frame Sport Horses led the charge for our #MLEeventers and brought five horses to the Loudoun Spring Horse Trials. Sale horse Prynce Rubin PVF finished second in Novice Horse, while stallion Frame Nantucket S impressed in his first-ever horse trials with a second-place finish in Beginner Novice Horse. Homebred Galactic Frame Z won her first-ever Training level, rounding out a very successful weekend for Martin and his team.

At Twilight Eventing at Maryland Horse Trials earlier in the week, Jaclyn Burke of Hablyn Hills Equestrian took the win in Modified with her horse Adara. Meanwhile, MLE’s intern Megan Hopkins had a solid ride as well, finishing third in Beginner Novice with Parkside Charm.
