The scorching temperatures couldn’t keep #TeamMLE down this weekend!

Our #MLEeventers made the most of their time at the MDHT2 @ Loch Moy Farm in Adamstown, MD. Allison Springer of Allison Springer Eventing had a fantastic showing with Vandyke, owned by the RICO Syndicate LLC, securing 2nd place in the Advanced Combined Test, and also placed 2nd in Open Training-B with Natalie Epstein’s Lickity Split. Courtney Waskiewicz of Defying Gravity Eventing had an impressive weekend with her trio of bay mares. Didi Callahan’s Hand Rail and Palm D’Oro stepped up to Modified for the first time, and she and Krysta Paradis’s Where’s My Tail landed in the top ten in Open Modified! Courtney also piloted Lisa Smith’s Chancellor to a win in Open Novice-B. Congratulations to Erin Murphy and Rae Stone’s Haslemere Jacamo on their 2nd place finish in Open Novice. Finally, kudos to Martin Douzant of The Frame Sport Horses for his win on sale horse Johnny Walker P in Open Training and his 2nd place on Angela Bailey’s Okie Brown in Open Beginner Novice!

Not to be outdone, our #MLEhunters and #MLEjumpers braved the heat at the HITS Cavalier Classic in Culpeper, VA. Brett Shear-Hayman wrapped up the week with a Championship in the 3’ Green Hunters on Kate Chan’s Fan Favorite and took 3rd in the 1.20m $500 Jumper Classic with sale horse Merlino PL. #MLEintern Megan Hopkins also made her mark in the jumper ring with her own Altaskin Jack, bringing home a 3rd place in the 1.15m Open Jumpers.
